Certified in Medical Massage

Certified Canine Massage Practitioner

Jessica was born and raised in southwestern Missouri, the Ozarks. She graduated from Missouri State University in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in comprehensive communication studies; then in 1998 she moved to North Carolina.

After deciding a career in graphic design and advertising was not her passion, she began to look at her other interests. Jessica pursued her dream of being a massage therapist and she graduated in 2009 from Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, North Carolina. Body Therapy Institute is a COMTA approved school that is well respected in the holistic massage community.  Since graduation she has taken extensive continuing ed courses including medical massage, aromatherapy and active isolated stretching. In 2010 she received her certification in medical massage. While she enjoys working with all clients, she has a particular interest in working with migraine sufferers and athletes.

In addition to her work with people, Jessica loves working with animals. Soon after graduating from Body Therapy Institute, she travelled to Ohio for a week long intensive course in canine massage techniques offered through Pet Massage, Ltd.. The 50 hour continuing education course allowed her to adjust the knowledge she has of massage techniques, kinesiology, anatomy and physiology from humans to animals. She received her certification as a canine massage practitioner in 2009.

Jessica sees both people and pets in our practice.

When she is not working she loves reading, spending time with her pets, jogging, and time with friends.

Testimonials:

I finally made an appointment to go see Jessica Ledford for a massage last night and can’t speak highly enough about the experience. I’m kicking myself for not having gone sooner. Speaking of which, why are you still reading this? Go to the website and make an appointment. Go on, shoo. – Jair W.

Thank you, Jessica! I feel so very good. You have skill, soul, and sensitivity. I’d find better words, but I’m too relaxed.  - Carole M.
