Greetings from Endless Summer!
Things have been very busy in our worlds – which has lead to a lack of website updates and more importantly a restriction in how many new clients we are able to see.
At this time, only one of our therapists is able to take new clients. We are on the search for another part-time therapist to add to the Endless Summer family, but until this time we will mostly be restricting our practice to our established clients.
If you need a referral, please let us know. We have a few great names we can pass along!
Happy and healthy wishes,
March 15th marks the 5th anniversary of Endless Summer Massage in Durham! On that day, we opened the doors of our original location in the Couch Building on 9th street.
Since that time, our practice has grown to include so many wonderful clients & one new therapist, Theresa. A couple of years ago, we also moved to our current location on Iredell – which is more peaceful and has it’s own parking.
Thank you to all of our wonderful clients for making the past 5 years so great. Here’s to a bright future – just like an endless summer 🙂
Happy Holidays from Endless Summer Massage!
To spend time with our loved ones, Endless Summer Massage will be closed Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year’s eve and New Years day.
We look forward to seeing you in the new year! – Jessica, Faith & Theresa
Jessica & Faith will be out of the office from September 14th – 27th to celebrate their wedding and to take a much needed vacation in the mountains!
Theresa will be available for most of the time we are gone, and she is happy to see our clients if the need arises. Just email and we will connect you to make an appointment.
As the ninth street area grows and changes parking becomes a little more challenging. Until recently, the upper level of our building has been vacant, which allowed us free reign of all of the parking areas around our building. Now that those offices have been rented, the spaces in front of the building are allocated to the clients and employees of the buisnesses upstairs.
So where should you park? We have 3 options to choose from. There are three spaces directly in front of the entrance to our section of the building (off the gravel drive). If you go past those spots and turn left, through the metal gate, behind our building is a parking lot we can use (despite the no parking sign on the gate – it is to discourage people shopping on ninth street) and finally there is the 2 hour parking on Iredell street.
We appologize for the inconvenience! If you have any questions, please let us know!
Greetings on this lovely Memorial Day. We hope yours was filled with friends, family, nature or whatever makes you you happy.
We wanted to send a quick reminder about our upcoming rate change. On June 1st our massage rates will increase slightly, to adjust for the various increases in cost that come from running a business. As of June 1st our rates will be: 1 hour massage: $70 (was $66) & 90 minute massage: $105 (was $99)
We still offer a package deal, to help lower the cost for our regular clients. If you purchase 5 hours of massage ($350, paid at the time of package purchase), you get the 6th hour for free. If you purchase the package, it effectively makes each hour of massage only $58.33. *The package deal can’t be combined with any other discounts.
Thank you for understanding and please email us if you have any questions. As always, thank you for being our clients and friends. We look forward to seeing you soon!
On May 13th Jessica completed her exhausting adventure through nursing school! All that remains for her to be officially a registered nurse is to complete her certification exam, the NCLEX, which she’ll be taking in June.
She appreciates everyone’s support throughout the process!
Endless Summer Massage just celebrated our 5th anniversary and we want to say thank you! Over the past 5 years we have moved from the Couch Building on Ninth street to our peaceful location on Iredell. We have added another lovely therapist to see clients part-time, the talented Theresa. Each year brings us new clients in addition to those we’ve known for some time and we appreciate those new to us and those that have been with us over the years. We are proud of the business we have built and we are so glad you have been a part of it.
As we move into our sixth year of business, we look forward to another busy and wonderful year! We are continuing to build Theresa’s clientele, while Faith and Jessica continue to see their regular clients. Also, as some of you know, Jessica has been working her way through nursing school for the past few years. We are proud to announce that her graduation is quickly approaching! In May she will have officially finished her studies. She is looking forward to finding a nursing position this summer. She plans to work as a nurse 2-3 days a week while continuing to see her regular clients on the off days. She is looking forward to the transition away from exams and papers.
We do have one important announcement to make. As of June 1st, Endless Summer will be raising our rates slightly. This is only the second time in five years. Regrettably, over time, business expenses increase. We have always strived to keep our massage rates lower than others in the triangle. We think massage is important for a healthy well-being & for most people it can only be a part of a healthy life style if it is also affordable. In researching other independent massage therapy offices in the area, we found the average price for an hour session ranges from $75 – 85. Our rate has been $66. After much debate, we have decided to raise our hourly session rate to $70. This small adjustment will help to offset the added expenses of our growing business while still keeping us below the local average. We will continue to offer our package deal, which helps to offset this price increase for our clients. If you aren’t familiar with our package deal, you can prepay for 5 sessions at full price and you receive the 6th session for free.
Thank you again for being a client of Endless Summer Massage and we hope you will join us for another wonderful year.
Jessica & Faith
Faith and Jessica just signed up for a continuing education course in April focusing on the head, neck and shoulders. It includes techniques for myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy and biodynamic osteopathy. We look forward to sharing what we learn with our clients!
Our sincerest wishes to all for a lovely holiday season!
We were closed on Christmas Eve & Christmas day & we will be closed on New Year’s day as well (we are open the other days this week.)
Our tradition is to go on a long hike on New Year’s day to enjoy nature, fresh air and being active. If you are so inclined, you should do the same. It’s a lovely way to start the year.
