Faith was a military brat in her early years, settling down to live in Vernon, Alabama at the ripe old age of seven.
After graduating Lamar County High School in 1988, she attended Harding University, graduating in 1992 with a degree in English, magna cum laude. From there she went on to Auburn University, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 1994 from the university’s first Accelerated Nursing Degree program. She then lived in uptown New Orleans for eleven years, and moved to North Carolina in 2005 in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
The majority of her nursing career was spent in oncology, working both inpatient and outpatient units at University Hospital in New Orleans, Ochsner Clinic Foundation, and Duke University Health System. She then followed her interest in complementary medicine to work at Duke Integrative Medicine, which inspired her to follow her dream to become a massage therapist.
In 2009, she attended and graduated from Body Therapy Institute in Siler City, North Carolina. Here she gained a firm foundation in muscular anatomy and physiology.
She has studied Medical Massage with Ralph Stephens, and has an avid interest in sports and chair massage as well. She applies knowledge from her background in health care and energy work, as well as from her extensive reading list, in every session she gives.
In addition to spa work, Faith has provided on-site sports massage, regular chair massage for a local business, and an ongoing regular client practice in her Durham office.
When she’s not giving massages, Faith enjoys reading, writing, playing word games, jogging, traveling, and enjoying her life to the fullest extent possible.
